the integration of modern + historic
our relationship with the boca raton spans 15 years through 3 different renovations. for this latest evolution we understood the responsibility to carry the resort’s historic legacy forward, while also bringing it into a new era. by incorporating our modern architectural design, we brought to life a new pool club, as well as exterior and interior renovations of the resort’s arrival, public spaces, hotel rooms, and restaurants.
originally designed in 1926 by addison mizner, the resort famously redefined south florida luxury hospitality. in collaboration with the rockwell group, we worked to strip away years of the space and pursued material repurposing to reveal the original beauty of the elaborate wood and stone detailing of addison mizner, while also intertwining modern elements with the past to create new dynamic experiences.
