while acknowledging the mid-century modern aesthetic of fort lauderdale beach, the hotel design brings a contemporary feel to the beachfront through the flowing nature of the ocean view balconies. the sinuous balconies provide unique waterfront corner views over looking fort lauderdale beach to the east and the intercoastal to the west. the design, as built, is the intertwining of the hotel functional requirements and the complexities of the highly charged urban beachfront site.
